                             Courage is Contagious!

On Saturday, we gather again at the Trumbull County Courthouse Square for what very well could be part of the largest mass non-violent demonstration in our lifetime. At this time (Sunday evening) there are about 2500 registered demonstrations and growing across the nation and the world.

The Republican led congress has abdicated their responsibilities, the Supreme Court has become a rubber stamp and the "administration" is moving as quickly as possible to grab all the power and funds they can. The Republican dominated Ohio "government" is in lockstep, pushing to gerrymander the districts and gain even more control.

We, The People have to stand up and be seen and heard. Trumbull County had 800 + on the first NO KINGS in June. We need to be even larger this time around.

There are a lot of folks sitting on the fence, undecided about what to do.  There are a lot of people who think it doesn't affect them. We need to convince them to join us. This affects every one of us!  Ask them to join us, we are demonstrating to protect everyone's rights, even those we don't agree with.

This is No Kings, but let's not forget to show those things that we stand for: our rights, public lands, DEI, free and fair elections, equal voting districts, representation of the people not the billionaires and corporations, the list goes on and on.

If you have already registered, thank you. We already have more registrations than we had for Labor Day.  If you haven't registered please do, it helps us plan for crowd size.  But we understand if you don't want to, but please show up and bring a friend or 2 or more.  We appreciate everyone who comes to stand with us and those who support us driving by.

We have 2 links to register:

You can also find us on the FindaProtest.info site: https://www.findaprotest.info/event/warren/UyCdvU2zjDXw0skppFzDTR
If you are on Substack, we are listed in the maps shown on:  https://protestmap.info/ We the People Dissent has counting tools/forms on their page, scroll down: https://www.wethepeopledissent.net/

We'll be starting at 10:30 and going until 1. Please stay current on the weather and dress accordingly. So far the chance of rain is slim, but we've gotten wet before. Wear sturdy shoes, dress in layers. Bring snacks and water. Bring friends and make new friends. Bring the fence sitters. Union members and Veterans are invited. We really do have a good time, it is refreshing to see so many like minded people in one place.

At the moment the registrations point to attendance larger than Hands Off and much larger than Labor Day. We hope to see more than were present at No Kings (1), which was about 800 people.

Our peacekeepers are ready and augmented by the safety team from our friends at the Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters, there will be a number of yellow vests watching for signs of trouble and to help you safely cross the intersections. Please listen when they ask you to stay out of the roadway and between parked cars, it is for your safety.

Be aware that counter-protestors have the same right to be there as we do. But, they do not have the right to interfere with us, nor we them. Find a yellow vest to deal with it. If there are individuals causing problems, find a yellow vest.
Do not respond to counter-protesters verbally of physically.

Always remember that our demonstration is peaceful and non-violent.

Because we are continually peaceful and non-violent, the Warren City Police have watched over us and not interfered. We are not causing problems they need to deal with.

If you are concerned about your Voter status or know someone who is, Laura spends the entire time talking to people and checking the status for them. She does this as a volunteer and is really nice to talk with.

Please remember that not all of us will be there for the same reasons. Respect the other person's reason, it may be personal for them. In the end, we are all in this together. Only be working together can we hope to end this nightmare.

Courage is Contagious!

Mahoning Valley Freedom Fighters will be having an event in Youngstown at the Courthouse, from 3 to 6. Plenty of time to get a bite, freshen up and join them for a Mock Trial of Trump after we finish. MVFF rally info: Mahoning County Courthouse

 ABOUT OUR EVENT:
The billionaires continue to wage a cruel war on working people, with their cronies in the administration, ICE and law enforcement backing up their attacks. This Labor Day we will continue to stand strong, fighting for public schools over private profits, healthcare over hedge funds, shared prosperity over corporate politics.

Working people built this nation and we know how to take care of each other. We won’t back down—we will never stop fighting for our families and the rights and freedoms that ensure access to opportunity and a better life for all Americans. The billionaire's time is up.

On September 1st we will continue the movement we launched together on May 1st, standing in solidarity with all our communities under attack and fighting for real wins for all our people.

In thousands of communities around the country we encourage you to take a stand with us on Labor Day. On the streets, outside the offices of the corporate criminals who are behind the attacks on our freedoms and at congressional offices. Together we will demand a world that works for all of us.

OUR DEMANDS TO BUILD THE SOCIETY WE ALL DESERVE:
Stop the billionaire takeover and rampant corruption of the Trump administration.

Protect and defend Medicaid, Social Security, and other programs for working people.

Fully funded schools, and healthcare and housing for all.

Stop the attacks on immigrants, Black, indigenous, trans people, and all our communities.

    Invest in people not wars.

*** Please note: A core principle behind all our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events.

On Saturday, June 14, we’re taking to the streets nationwide. We’re not gathering to feed his ego. We’re building a movement that leaves him behind.

Indivisible Event on Mobilize: https://www.mobilize.us/nokings/event/785183 - sign up to get updates.

In America, we don’t put up with would-be kings. NO KINGS is a national day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies. We’ve watched as they’ve cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies.

The flag doesn’t belong to Donald Trump. It belongs to us. We’re not watching history happen. We’re making it.

On June 14th, we’re showing up everywhere he isn’t—to say no thrones, no crowns, no kings. Check out https://www.nokings.org/ for more information.
