Good Trouble Trumbull to Hold Day of the Dead Remembrance
& Call to Stop ICE Violence
This event on Halloween is part of a national action to
remember individuals who died at the hands of ICE and to call for an end to ICE
violence.
WARREN, Ohio — Good Trouble Trumbull will sponsor a Day of
the Dead Remembrance and Call to Stop ICE Violence on Saturday, October 31
(Halloween) from 12pm to 2 pm in Courthouse Square. The purpose of the event,
which is part of a national action organized by Disappeared in America, is to
call to stop ICE violence and to remember those who died at the hands of ICE.
Since January 2025, ICE shot and killed at least six people in US streets, half
of whom were US citizens; and more than 50 people have died in ICE custody. The
organizers welcome signs, flowers, writings, poems, drawings, and other art for
a tribute to be created at the event in the spirit of the Day of the Dead, when
the living remember those who have died.
Good Trouble Trumbull is a grassroots collective engaged in
peaceful community action. Disappeared in America is a national advocacy
campaign organized by coalitions that include Not Above the Law, Public
Citizen, and Detention Watch Network. A core principle at Disappeared in America
events is a commitment to nonviolent action.
